Thank you for taking the time to visit the Gala 2024 website. You make a difference!  Plans are underway for the Catholic Charities 2024 Gala and we need your help. Your sponsorship or advertisement will help us provide services and food to those in need in the five counties we serve. 

The Gala will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at DeSales University Center.  We will honor three pillars in the Diocese of Allentown for their compassion and service to the community.  Reverend Monsignor William Glosser, Pastor of St. Clare of Assisi, St. Clair and Holy Cross Parish, New Philadelphia; and Anthony and Evelyn Carfagno, long-time supporters of Catholic Charities and the Diocese of Allentown.  We anticipate over 400 people will join us to celebrate our honorees at the Gala.

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Allentown helps individuals and families of all faiths in Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton, and Schuylkill counties. We provide critical programs and services to connect clients with needed services.  These programs and services include counseling, case management, supportive services for veterans and their families, soup kitchens and food pantries, pregnancy and parenting support, and services for older adults. 

Did you know:

• Catholic Charities has assisted over 11,000 people in need
• More than 40,000 meals were served at our soup kitchens in Allentown and Pottsville
• Nearly 100 veterans and their families were prevented from becoming homeless
• 75% of the clients we serve are non-Catholic

This is our largest fund-raising event of the year.  The funds raised at the Gala are critical to our mission of providing compassionate human services with respect for the sanctity of all human life.
